Choosing a stool
Match seat height to worktop height and everything else follows. Poseur and bistro tables want a tall stool, so the Stowe and Hepscott are built for exactly the tables you will find in our bistro and cafe tables range, while the Turin and Florence add a backrest for anyone perching longer than a coffee. The Harlestone stools are lower and upholstered, in single or two tone fabric, and behave more like soft furniture: pull them up to a low table, scatter them through a breakout space, or line them along a window.
The draughtsman side is a different job. The Hi Rise kit, a footring, longer gas lift and glides, converts a standard operator chair into a proper high level chair for lab benches, packing stations and reception counters. It is the economical route if you already own chairs you like from our task and operator range; the footring matters more than people expect, because feet dangling from a high seat get uncomfortable within the hour.
