Kitting out a canteen
Work out your table height first, because it sets the mood of the room. Standard height tables with the Nest Edge or Nest Loop stacking chairs give you a canteen that seats the maximum headcount at lunchtime. Italia poseur tables with Charford stools give you the taller cafe bar feel that also works for quick stand up catch ups outside lunch hours. Most rooms we fit end up with a mix: tall tables along the window, standard tables in the middle.
Chairs in a canteen live a harder life than chairs anywhere else in the building. They get dragged, stacked, spilled on and wiped down with antibacterial spray daily.
