The Oslo range in every boardroom shape we sell: rectangular, oval and square tables, with extension kits that grow a 1600mm square into something seating the whole senior team. Most come plain or as Oslo Volta versions with pop up power modules built into the top, so laptops and phones charge at the table instead of trailing leads to the wall. A boardroom table is usually the one piece of furniture visitors actually notice, so it is worth getting the size and the power right first time.
Choosing a boardroom table
Work backwards from the room. You want roughly a metre of clearance on every side so chairs can push back without hitting the wall, and about 600mm of table edge per person sitting at it. An Oslo oval softens a long narrow room and lets everyone see everyone else, while the rectangular tables make the most of the seats in a squarer space. The square 1600mm table with an extension kit is the flexible option: start with eight seats and add sections when the team grows.
Think hard about power before the table arrives, not after. The Volta pop up units drop into the tabletop with sockets and wireless charging where people actually sit, fed by under desk modules and connecting chain cables that stay out of sight. Retro-fitting power to a solid top is a far messier job, so if there is any chance you will want it, order from the Volta boardroom tables range from the start. Our cable management section covers the tidy-up underneath.
Chairs and matching pieces
A big table deserves seating that matches its job. Leather executive chairs suit a formal boardroom, conference seating and meeting chairs work for rooms in daily use, and flip top tables are the practical answer for training spaces that change layout weekly. For smaller rooms, start with our meeting room tables instead.
Boardroom tables in Belfast and across Northern Ireland
We are Office Interior Solutions, based in Belfast and fitting boardrooms across Northern Ireland, with Lisburn, Antrim, Newtownabbey, Bangor, Derry and Newry all on the round. Boardroom tables arrive in sections and reward proper assembly, so delivery and installation come as standard and the packaging leaves with us.
If you are unsure whether the room takes a long oval or the square with extensions, measure the walls and give us a ring on +44 (0)2890 770019. We have levelled enough tables in enough awkward rooms to tell you quickly what will fit and what will feel cramped.
